1. What are the major changes in the PO Box rental system?
Emirates Post has introduced improved PO Box offering for Corporate customers, with bundles providing additional services with different payment options.
For companies:
Current fee: Subscription fee of AED 70 and annual fee of AED 500.
New slab-wise fee structure:
5 categories are available to enable companies to select a suitable category, depending on their mail volumes.
Category 1: P.O.Box Light:
Annual fee AED 750. Benefits: P.O.Box, Free eShaar Service, 1 Free Domestic Courier Coupon and 50% discount on domestic unaddressed mail up to 10,000 units.
Category 2: P.O.Box Standard:
Annual Fee AED 1,750. Benefits: P.O.Box, 1 Free mail bag, free eShaar Service, Free Domestic courier coupons and 50% discount on Domestic unaddressed mail up to 10,000 units.
Category 3: Ezi Mail Bronze:
Annual Fee AED 3,500. Benefits: P.O.Box, 1 Free mail bag, 4 Free Domestic Courier Coupons, 1 weekly mail delivery and pickup and 50% discount on Domestic unaddressed mail up to 20,000 units.
Category 4: Ezi Mail Silver:
Annual Fee AED 6,000. Benefits: P.O.Box, 1 Free mail bag, 8 Free Domestic Courier Coupons, 3 times a week mail delivery & pickup and 50% discount on Domestic unaddressed mail up to 30,000 units.
Category 5: Ezi Mail Gold:
Annual Fee AED 12,000. Benefits: P.O.Box, 1 Free mail bag, 12 Domestic Courier Coupons, 6 times a week mail delivery & pickup and 50% discount on Domestic unaddressed mail up to 40,000 units.

What is the P.O.Box Light Bundle?
P.O.Box Light is the basic bundle for companies. This offers a basic service plus value additions such as free eShaar Service, 1 Free Domestic Courier Coupon and 50% discount on Domestic unaddressed mail up to 10,000 units. The basic package costs AED 750.
What is a domestic courier coupon?
Domestic courier coupons enable customers to send consignments using prepaid airway bills for domestic deliveries only. Customers can drop their consignments at dedicated Emirates Post offices located across the UAE or call the Empost Contact Centre on 600565555 to make a booking to collect their consignments.
What will a Tijari Box customer receive?
Tijari box customer will pay the chosen bundle fee for the main license, and will get the benefit of the PO Box Light bundle for each extra license paid.
- For five or more licenses registered under their Tijari box number, the customer will get one free postal mail bag.

What is the period for settling annual fees?
Annual P.O.Box rental fees should be paid between December 1 st and January 31 st. A penalty of AED 100 will be imposed for late payment. Additional AED 10 will be charged for every month after March 1 ST.
A fine of AED 200 shall be charged for any returned cheque, in addition to the late payment fines mentioned above. Emirates Post has the right to suspend the service if the subscription is not renewed, as per the rules and regulations.
The Domestic Unaddressed Mail offer is part of the bundles. What if my organisation will not use this? Can I reduce the amount I pay for my bundle?
The Domestic Unaddressed Mail service is part of the bundle, and cannot be separated. We suggest that you first try the service to see if it works for your organisation. Remember, the value addition is substantial if all the services are counted, and actual value of the whole package works out to more than AED 1,005, compared to AED 750.

How does the new PO Box bundle offerings compare with private operator packages?
The PO Box bundles have been created in such a way that the overall benefits and value added service are worth more than the fees customers pay. As far as competitors are concerned, the total package offered by Emirates Post-Empost combine is far cheaper than that of private operators.
Is it cheaper to buy courier service as I need it, rather than opting for the EziMail bundles?
No. It is cheaper to opt for bundles, because for the new flat rate of AED 750, the customer gets a variety of value added services, whose actual value works out to AED 1,005.
I want to use another service provider for my mail delivery – can you accommodate this?
No private company/service provider is permitted to collect mail on behalf of customer. However, customers who give Power of Attorney to another person can do so, provided the person is on the visa of the same company that owns the PO Box.

What are the requirements for companies?
Companies should attached a valid trade license copy for P.O.BOX, and copies of all additional companies trade licenses for TIJARI box service.

Using or changing your services
How can a customer obtain a new set of keys for their PO Box?
The customer has to approach his post office and apply for changing the lock for a fee of AED 100.
What happens if a customer’s mail overflows in the PO Box?
Mail must be collected regularly. If a P.O.Box overflows with mail, Emirates Post will notify the customers within 15 days, recommending subscription to a Mail Bag against annual fees. If the mail overflows again, Emirates Post will charge a fine for managing the overflowed mail. This fine will need to be paid before collecting the accumulated mail. If the fine is not paid for three consecutive months, Emirates Post has the right to cancel the P.O.Box and dispose of the uncollected mail as per the applicable rules and regulations.
Will the eShaar Service send a message to the customer every time they receive mail in their PO Box?
No. eShaar Services is only for mail that has a receipt/barcode, such as registered mail, EMS, etc. These subscribers get an SMS & email each time there is new incoming mail.
Who should the customer call if they do not receive their mail through the EziMail service?
They should call the Emirates Post Call Centre on 600 565555.
How can a customer change the mobile number registered for eShaar Service?
They should contact their post office and inform them about the change in the phone number.
What time will the customer’s mail arrive each day through EziMail bundles?
When a customer purchases an EziMail bundle, a representative will contact him/her to discuss when the mail will be delivered. The day of the week and the time of day will depend on the delivery scheduled of Empost as well as the requirements of the customer.
How can a customer take advantage of the Domestic unaddressed Direct Mail offer?
As Direct Mail is part of the every new PO Box Bundle, the subscriber is automatically entitled to its use. The customer can go to one of the Central Post to submit the material (leaflets, etc) to be distributed through the PO Box network. In Dubai, he should go to the special counter at Ramoul Sorting Centre, while in other emirates he can go to the main post offices. Customers can select the Emirate they would like their direct mail to be distributed in, but not the specific addresses.
Can we upgrade to another package midway through the year?
Yes, subscribers have the option to upgrade or switch bundles at any time, depending on their requirements.
How can customers use their courier coupons?
There are two ways: Contact the Call Centre on 600565555 or visit their nearest post office to redeem the courier coupons.
